BASIC ASSESSMENT FOR A GAUGING WEIR ON THE LITTLE MOOI RIVER
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAMME

The main objective of the Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) is to ensure best practices are followed and optimal environmental protection is achieved. The EMPr aims to bridge the gap between the completion of the Environmental Assessment and the implementation of the project, particularly with regard to implementing the mitigation measures recommended in the Basic Assessment Report (BAR) and then monitoring, auditing and taking corrective actions during implementation. The EMPr allocates clear responsibility, and identifies indicators and targets for monitoring each of the activities identified in order to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines. The EMPr is a dynamic document, which will be reviewed, revised or updated during the life span of the project.
